Color Dare Design Team Challenge #638
Today Your Story Begins…
Layered Ephemera
Hi scrappers! I’m here with my first page of February 2025 and another challenge from Color Dare. This week’s color palette is almost primary colors but not quite with red being subbed out for magenta. I used some photos taken at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Since I was wearing a blue sweatshirt that already matched the shade in my color palette, I thought they would work well.
Both the background paper and the pink patterned paper I used as a mat for my photos come from the Heidi Swapp Wanderlust 12 X 12 pad. This very old collection of papers features lots of bold geometric patterns and the pink and yellow tones matched my color palette nicely.
I think I used more different products on this page than any other in recent history. I used one sticker here, a tag there, and basically anything I could find that were in the correct colors. Here’s a list of a just some of the products used:
Recollections Paper Flowers
The Paper Studio Donuts & Coffee Stickers
Here is the palette for Color Dare Challenge 638. Join us this week and share your project using these three colors.
I saw this layout by Keely Livings Lowe and immediately fell in love. I love how the entire layout is on an angle and the mix of ephemera she used. I scrap lifted this page and of course put my own spin on it and used a different color palette.
This page was also made for the Grab 5 challenge over at A Cherry on Top Crafts. Out of the list of items provided, I used the following 5:
Flowers
Ephemera
Buttons
Baker’s Twine
Ribbons
That’s all for this time. Thank you for joining me and if you are looking for a crafting challenge to participate in, I run a Taylor Swift themed on here. This month’s challenge is to create a project with a shaker in honor of her song Shake it Off!
