Green Foliage

Hi scrappers! This week I created a page using a photo that was taken on a resort in Fiji. They had a big swing that looked out on the ocean so my husband and I snapped a photo while sitting on it. Since there was so much green in the picture, I paired it with lots of green on the page.

I used some plain white cardstock as my background and embellished the left side using 49 and Market rub-ons, a stamp by Penny Black, and a transparent fern sticker I cut in half so I could make the most of it. I also splattered some paint in addition to the paint splatter patterns in the rub-ons.

I had been meaning to use the foliage-print paper by Prima Marketing for a while but never found the right layout since I knew this paper would be really busy. So help with contrast, I matted a square of this paper and my photo with black cardstock to make them pop. I made three accent stripes using 49 and Market Moonlit Garden washi tape, Discover + Create washi tape and a thin paper scrap. The title was made using foam stickers, and I created an accent cluster using ephemera by Simple Stories and laser cuts and enamel dots by 49 and Market.

This page was made for the April White…with 1 challenge. The one color this month was obviously green. I noticed a lot of the inspiration photos has black accents, so I incorporated that into my page. I incorporated a lot of foliage and woodsy items into my page as well.

This page was made using the left side of this sketch from the Lasting Memories April challenge. I liked the accent stripes and the background square which I knew I could create with the foliage paper I had on deck. Instead of stars, I used various leafy embellishments, but kept the long title over my photo.

That’s all for this week. Thank you for joining me and if you’re looking for a new paper craft challenge, check out the Taylor Swift themed one I host at A Cherry on Top Crafts here. See you next week!
