The Orpheum Theatre

Monochrome With Red-Violet

Hi scrappers! I’m back again, this time with a monochromatic layout! The pictures I used were taken in the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles which is a very old, incredibly beautiful theater! I went with my husband to see a live podcast show and it was our first time every going there!

I started with some basic white cardstock as my background so anything I put on top of it would pop.I used a scrap of paper left over from a previous layout along with some paper from the Ink Drops - Dusk stack. Behind these 2 papers, I layered 49 and Market washi strips and some more paper scraps. I used some 6 X 6 Bo Bunny papers as mats for my photos. Even though snowflakes didn’t really match my theme, the colors were perfect so I used them anyway!

I combined some Thickers glittery alpha stickers with some letters made using some Tim Holtz die cuts. from there, I combined Plum Grove chipboard, ephemera, and die cuts by 49 and Market and some Kaiser Craft die cuts from their Violet Crush and Fairy Dust collections.

This page was made for Dr. Sonja’s Color Play challenge. There were several color specific options for this challenge, but I chose monochromatic with the color red-violet. It’s always surprising how many products I can find in my stash for just about any color!

This page was also made for the White…with 1 May challenge. The challenge was to use one of the colors in the inspiration photo and make a monochromatic layout on a white background. I obviously chose purple! There was also a musical element to the challenge this month. I used the closest thing I had which was theater photos and added some musical note stickers t the layout as well.

This page was made using the birthday sketch over at Sketch N Scrap. I added some additional clusters and thinner strips of paper and washi in the background.

I almost never enter in the same challenge twice, but this month I made an exception. Both this layout and my previous one fit the challenge at Challenge YOUrself really well so I am entering both!

That’s all for this week! Thank you for visiting and I will be back soon with a new scrapbooking page!
