Color Dare Design Team Challenge 688

Sometimes You Just Need To Make Your Own Luck

Yellow, Green And Red

Hi scrappers! I’m back with Color Dare with another color palette challenge! I used this particular photo of my husband and I for this page because of the green foliage in the background. It ended up going really well with my background paper! Our faces also fit into the hexagon die cut I used so that was a big plus!

This is the second page in a row where I have used paper from the Curiosities in Willow Grove stack. I used a subtlety patterned green paper for the background here and then used red and yellow paper scraps with a Sizzix Thinlits die cut. I used additional small paper scraps to make botanical pieces that I clued in clusters around the large hexagons. The title comes from the Amy Tangerine sticker book and I added in some red and green ephemera by Simple Stories and Memory-Place. I created some additional texture with a Tim Holtz stencil and some stencil butter by The Crafter’s Workshop and added in a few paper flowers and enamel dots by Eyelet Outlet.

Join us at Color Dare for challenge #688 and use at least 2 of the 3 colors above in your project. I used all 3 since I liked how the colors looked together.

This page was also created for the Cherry Lift Challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I chose this layout by CarrieG and modified it a little to fit a 12 X 12 format. I liked the large heinous she used and knew I had a diet that would allow me to recreate something similar. Instead of large palm fronds, I added in little groups botanicals with die cuts from the same pack.

That’s all for this week! Thank you for visiting and I will try and squeeze in one more layout for the month of January.
