Celebrate Together

Purple And Orange Botanicals

Hi everyone! My last layout for October features traditional Halloween/fall colors of purple and orange. The photos I ended up using were taken in Fiji in the summer, so they didn’t really match with pumpkins or big autumn leaves. Instead, I used leafy sprigs, florals and botanical stencils to match the warm tones in my tropical photos.

I started with some purple cardstock by DCWV as my background and then used a scrap of Ink Drop paper on the bottom half. It was absolutely perfect for this page with its marbled orange and purple tones. I then took some hand written print paper by Colorbok and used a 2-inch strip with torn edges as an accent piece. I also added a leftover branding strip from a previous layout to add a subtle patterned detail.

I then used 49 and Market laser cut elements from their Spectrum Gardenia, Plum Grove, and Color Swatch Lavender collections and arranged them over the top of some mixed media elements created with stencil butter and a stencil by Aall & Create. A few rhinestone brads add sparkle and some enamel dots by Altenew add shine. lastly, I splattered everything with some orange acrylic paint as a finishing touch

This page was created for the October 123 Scrapbook challenge. I really liked the sketch and the inspiration colors. I incorporated the words by making my title “Celebrate Together.”

That’s all for this week. Thank you for stopping by and I will see you all in November.
