Scrapbook Challenge
Lovely You
Shades Of Yellow
Hi everyone! I’m back with a new page all in shades of yellow! I used some photos taken in a hammock during a trip to Bimini, Bahamas. I liked that the buildings in the background were also yellow and matched what I had planned for my page.
I started with some basic white cardstock by American Crafts and then created my own background with a combination of alcohol ink and acrylic paint. I trying using watered down paint with a Kaiser Craft acrylic stamp just to see what kind of effect I would get. I lost a lot of the detail but you can see the rows of diamonds that the stamp created. I also used some stamps by 49 and Market with a black ink pad to further build my background.
I matted my photos on pale yellow cardstock and then cut down a piece of dotted paper to go behind it. I also used a paper scrap with bigger dots to make the accent strip on the side and added other polka dot triangles as photo corners. Basically, I discovered I have a lot of yellow paper with various dots. I used some washi ticket stickers and a large circular doily sticker as well as stickers from Crate Paper, 49 and Market and Bo Bunny. I finished with a few buttons, tags and a stencil and stencil butter to add another yellow dotted element to this page.
This page was made for Colorful Options. Their April challenge is all about yellow!
This page was also made for White…with 1. Their April challenge was to make a monochromatic page on white cardstock using either red, yellow or blue as the main color.
That’s all for this week. Thank you for joining me and I will see you all soon for another challenge!
