Scrapbook Challenge

Lazy Weekend

Fresh Fruits And Flowers

Hi scrappers! This week I bring you a fresh and fruity page in bright tones of yellow and green. My parents have several fruit trees in their back yard and when I went to visit, apples were in season. The afternoon light was beautiful so I took the opportunity to snap a selfie.

I started with some paper from Colorbok’s Ombre Energized stack I received in the June Cherry box. I like how all the papers have a subtle yarn knit pattern to add some texture to the page. I used some green botanical paper from the One Two Canoe Summer Afternoon stack and added in some green scraps of paper, including some photorealistic apple print paper that perfectly matched the apples in my photo. I added some green washi tape and transparent yellow flowers and used a sticker from the Create 365 Rainbow sticker book as my title.

This page was created for the Sketch N Scrap June challenge. The sketch was pretty simple this time so I jazzed it up with lots of embellishments including some New Day puffy stickers by Echo Park Paper Co. and some Bo Bunny rhinestones.

This page was also created for the June challenge over at Color, Stories, Inspiration. I used the following “clues” while creating the page:

  • Flowers

  • Greenery

  • Layers

  • Hearts

  • Something Transparent

  • Cakes, Lemons, or Other Foods

That’s all for this week. Thank you for joining me and I’ll see you next week with a brand new page!
