Wander Often, Wander Always

Floral Clusters And Brads

Hi everyone! This week I made a page using one of my favorite photos that was taken in the desert during a super bloom a few years back. Withal the flowers, came an incredible amount of caterpillars! When we stood still and listened, we could actually hear the sounds of them moving around and eating since there were practically dozens of them on every single plant.

I started with some green striped paper from the Lost & Found Breeze collection by My Mind’s Eye. I added in some teal patterned paper from the Eclectic Remix stack by The Paper Studio and cut it down a little. The blue and floral papers came from scraps I already had. The title comes from the Day Dream 5.8 X 8.8 stack. Those are kind of weird dimensions and I’m not sure what this paper would be traditionally used for, but I cut it down a little and feel like it fits really well since the highway photo has a greenish tint. My favorite details are the Simple Vintage Lemon Twist Brads by Simple Stories. The teal and yellow tones work perfectly withy color palette and the lemon slice design is so cute! Some paper flowers by Michael’s and The Paper Studio add the final touches to the embellishment clusters I created around the page.

This page was made using case file 415 over at Color, Stories Inspiration. The second I saw the mood board I knew I wanted to make a page inspired by it. It’s so bright and summery and I love the color palette or green, yellow, white, teal and navy. I used the following “evidence”:

  • Striped

  • Photo Realistic Paper

  • Summer-Themed Items

  • Clouds

  • Dandelion or Other Flowers

  • Cursive Font

  • Berries or Other Fruit (Lemons)

This page was also made using sketch 276 from Sketch N Scrap. I ended up tweaking this one a lot by shifting my photo and title position.

That’s all for now. I hope to be back soon but I have several trips and concerts coming up so I may not have the time I usually do. In the meantime, join me on my Instagram and YouTube at thescrapattack for more photos and videos!
