Seeking Nature

Autumn Forest

Hi scrappers! I just got back from a trip to mammoth where all the leaves were were changing. It was so cool to walk through an entire forest of trees with bright yellow leaves. These photos were taken several years ago when we took a similar trip. I created a fall forest theme on this page and although it came out really busy, I really like it!

I used a beautiful paper from P13 with leaves and little woodland creatures from their Into the Woods Collection and cut it diagonally for one half of my page. The other needed to be less busy so I used some subdued polka dot paper by The Paper Studio. I layered some old paper scraps behind my photos and used a Fishers squeeze punch to make little pennants for the upper right corner.

The title, the splatters and the tree rings are rub-ons by 49 and Market and so is the film strip that I cut in half and arranged on either side of my photo. I used a mix of ephemera by Tim Holtz and P13 along with some word stickers and enamel dots by Simple Stories.

I used Sketch 680 from Sketches in Thyme. I really liked the asymmetrical paper background and the papers layered behind the photos. I kept the placement of most of the elements and the title, but just embellished a but more like I usually do.

That’s all for now. Join me on Instagram and YouTube if you are looking for more paper crafting content!
