Scrapbook Challenge

Getting There Is Half The Fun

Perfect Use Of Paper Scraps

I scrappers. This page was created for some October challenges and I managed to get it done last minute! These photos were taken when my husband took a trip to Bolivia!

I used some khaki paper from American Craft’s Neutral stack and sprayed it with Brushed Corduroy spray stain and Burning Ember mica stain by Tim Holtz. I went through all of my scraps and found long strips in earthy tones that matched my photos. This is a great way to use up either branding strips on the bottom of pages or the scraps left over from slightly cutting down 12 X 12 papers.

From there, I layered some stickers by albumlovehandmade and Simple Stories as well as some abstract chipboard pieces by The Dusty Attic. I added in a metal token, wood pieces and a metal camera brad, adding a variety of elements and textures to this page.

This page was made for Counterfeit Kit’s October challenge where the above kit inspiration was provided. They also provided a sketch which I immediately knew I wanted to try because I could use up lots of scraps!

That’s all for now. The next post will feature a new set of November challenges! I will see you all soon!
