Color Dare Design Team Challenge 678

Beautiful & Fearless

Ephemera Collage

Hi scrappers! I’m back again with Color Dare for Challenge #678! This challenge focuses on shades of brown which seems fitting for November!

I used photos of my cat Jupiter because she also displays multiple shades of brown and the images matched the colors I wanted to use for this challenge.

I started with some off-white paper from American Crafts Neutral Cardstock stack. I then used a scrap of paper left over from this scrapbook page. I tore the edges and then pasted it towards the top of the page. I used what was left along with some white cardstock scraps to double mat my photos. I mixed a custom color of acrylic paint and added some splatters and blotches around my photos to make my background more interesting.

After. that, I raided my stash for ephemera that was either a cool-toned brown, light teal or rusty red. I layered all this ephemera in clusters around the page, using some die cuts by moments to make some tags as well as a scrap of lace and some Neutral and Winter enamel dots by Simple Stories.

Join us for Color Dare challenge 678! The challenge is to use brown along with 2 non-neutral colors. I chose rust and teal! Show us what colors you decide to pair with brown by submitting your paper projects.

Thank you for joining me. If you are looking for more paper crafting challenges to participate in, join me here for a monthly Taylor Swift inspired challenge. I’d love to see you there!
