Color Dare Design Team Challenge #650

Shine Just Like The Stars

Blue And Wine

Hi scrappers! I’m here with my first page of May! This was created as part of the design team for Color Dare Challenges. This week’s challenge was to create a project using blue and wine/burgundy and I love how these two colors look together!

The photos I used were actually taken at a local boba shop that is fantasy themed. The ambiance here is really cool and while we were there, they were playing Lord of the Rings on a big TV! My friend and I sipped our drinks and enjoyed the movie.

My blue background paper comes from the Over the Rainbow stack by Craft Consortium. I cut a piece of distressed floral paper from the Tattered and Worn stack by The Paper Studio and layered that behind my double matted photos. I added in some blue doilies, and some insect print paper which I cut into a large tag. I added in some flowers by Aall & Create, a few chipboard pieces by 49 and Market, and some stickers from the Dream Seeker sticker book by The Happy Planner, including the one I used for my title. As usual, I added in some enamel dots to finish the page.

I hope you’ll join us for this week’s Color Dare challenge! This color combo was unique and fun! I actually had to really search my stash for deep wine-colored embellishments but I really like how this page turned out. I can’t wait to see what you make using the same colors!

I made this page using throwback sketch #92 from Sketch N Scrap. I changed a few things like using a tag instead of a pennant and moved where my title was placed on the page.

That’s all for this week! Thank you for visiting and I will see you all soon for another month full of original scrapbook pages!
