Scrapbook Challenge

The Good Life

Patterned Papers And PET Tape

Hi scrappers! National Scrapbooking Day is this month which means there’s a ton of extra challenges and contests happening all around the internet! There’s not enough hours in the day for me to participate in them all but I will do my best to do as many as I can!

This photo was taken of my husband and our cat napping on the couch together. I love the way her leg is sticking out. She’s such a daddy’s girl and loves cuddling with my husband!

I used some scalloped design paper by Vicki Boutin as my background. I added a scrap of P13 paper and some woodgrain paper by Craftsmith as well as some blue 8 X 10 paper by Bo Bunny that I placed my photo on top of. I used some Midsummer Meadow PET tape by London Gifties on top of some gray cardstock as am accent. I really like this PET tape because it’s not overly shiny ad hard to photograph. like some other tapes.

I had previously made a 2.5 X 3.5 card for a previous challenge and used it as an embellishment here along with some handmade tags. I used up lots of little paper scraps and then embellished them with some peachy fibers and lace by Michaels, and some puffy stickers by Simple Stories. The title is a piece of ephemera also by Simple Stories and I added in some washi tape accents by The Washi Tape Shop and some enamel dots by Altenew.

This page was made as part of the Cherry Lift Challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts.Tis is the original sketch by ChrisC. I liked the mix of patterned papers and I kept the cat theme too!

This page was also made for the May Color, Stories, Inspiration challenge. I loved the color palette provided and used all colors as well the following “evidence”:

  • woodgrain pattern

  • flowers

  • leaves

  • washi tape

  • watering can

  • word stickers

  • brads

That’s all for this week. Come join me and play along with a Taylor Swift themed challenge I host every month. May’s can be found here!
