NSD Challenge

Life’s Better in Flip Flops

Beach Theme And Bright Colors

Hi scrappers! This month includes National Scrapbook Day! That means there’s tons more challenges for me to participate in and I’m going to try really hard to squeeze in a few extra layouts.

For this page, I used some photos taken at the beach and matched some red tones on the page to my dress.

I used Paper 01 from the Kaleidoscope Solids collection by 49 and Market as my background paper. I used two paper scraps in my stash for the accent stripes on the right, and used some red paper from Vicki Boutin’s Evergreen & Holly stack behind my photos. I added in some yellow cardstock, a Tim Holtz pocket card that I cut in half, and some 49 and Market washi strips.

Then I layered on my embellishments, using chipboard by Carta Bella for my title and some additional chipboard pieces by Echo Park Paper Co. I had some glittery beach stickers by Recollections and placed the sailboat over a piece of jar ephemera by Vickie Boutin. Some additional ephemera by Simple Stories, some seashell brads and some enamel dots finish the page.

This page was created for the NSD Cake and Ice Cream challenge over at A Cherry on Top Crafts. Depending on the the flavor of ice cream chosen from a list, you were presented with a different color palette. Choosing chocolate cake meant adding enamel dots of sequins and choosing yellow cake meant adding washi tape. I ended up adding both to my page!

I used sketch 316 from Sketch and Scrap to make this page, keeping everything pretty similar to the original. I used a chipboard piece for my title instead of a longer vertical title.

That’s all for this time. I’ll be back soon with a new page as I continue to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day!
