Color Dare Design Team Challenge 666
I Wish I Had More Vacation Days
Orange, Teal And Cream
Hi everyone! I’m back again with Color Dare with another challenge, this one using the colors orange, teal and cream! I happened to have a photo taken in Hawaii where my swimsuit was orange and white so I thought this would be a good photo to use!
I used some off-white cardstock from the a stack of neutrals by American Crafts. From there, I got out my handy hexagon punch and a handful of paper scraps. I love that hexagons make an interlocking pattern and I arranged them around my photo, alternating teal and orange.
I traced the edge of a dinner plate to create a half circle and then stitched over it with orange thread. I splattered some orange paint on my background so it didn’t look so empty and added some stars with a stencil by Aall & Create and 2 colors of stencil butter by The Crafters Workshop. Besides the enamel sailboat and shell stickers, and the 4 butterfly PET stickers, all other embellishments are stickers from Amy Tangerine and Vickie Boutin sticker books.
Join us at Color Dare and share the project you make using these 3 colors. This is a great palette for your summer photos!
This page was made using weekly sketch #440 at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I stayed pretty true to the sketch, adding a stitched half-circle, splatters, hexagons and used a 5 X 7 photo!
That’s all for this week! Thank you for visiting and I will see you soon with a pretty new page!
