Scrapbook Challenge

So Much Fun

Lots Of Little Squares

Hi scrappers! This week I’ve created a bright and tropical page featuring another photo from last year’s Hawaii trip. We were at a wedding for a friend of ours and took this selfie with a. very pretty beach in the background.

I started with some pretty teal and lime ombre paper from the Colorbok Ombre Energized stack. These papers are great for a vibrant background that’s not too busy since all papers have a subtle yarn knit pattern. I then cut lots of paper scraps into 1 1/2 inch squares and arranged them in columns. I embellished with some Miss Time boxed stickers and some Vicki Boutin Color Study stickers. I also added in some American Crafts daisy stickers and some Bo Bunny adhesive jewels.

This page was made for the August mood board challenge over at A Cherry on Top Crafts. Aren’t these colors so pretty together? I was also inspired to include a window, some flowers and kiwis/fruit.

This page was also made as a scrap lift of QueenBee89’s page. I loved all the little squares since I knew I could use up a lot of little paper scraps in my stash. I tried to in the edges of some of my squares just like the original and used a border sticker by Me and My Big Ideas in the same way that she used an arrow border as an accent. I was more heavy handed with my embellishments, as per usual and added in a larger sticker from The Happy Planner’s Colorful Boxes sticker book and some more embellishments to the right of the title which the original sketch did not have.

That’s all for this week. I will be back soon with a brand new page! See you next time!
