Color Dare Design Team Challenge 658
Love Is All You Need
Red, Green And Gray
Hi scrappers! Do you ever play the game where you see how many different layouts you can make while incorporating the same piece of paper? You may recognize the pretty strawberry paper used here from a page I made a couple of weeks back! So far the layout count for this paper is 2 and I still have some more left over! In fact, all papers used except for my background paper were out of my scraps stash! Now that’s recycling!
I used some gray text paper by Momenta as my background. The gray matched the background color in the P13 strawberry paper I knew I wanted to use. To make it a little more interesting, I added a messy wash and some splatters with some green acrylic paint.
I layered my paper scraps along with some strawberry washi tape by albumlovehandmade which I used on my last strawberry-themed layout too! I really love all the products I have purchased from her and highly recommend you check out her shop for handcrafted embellishments!
From there, I added some metal martini glasses, hand stitched some accents with red string, and used up the last 2 canvas stickers off a sheet I have had for a very long time! Some glitter studs, Tim Holtz ephemera and some button stickers add additional pizzazz. Lastly, I did something new and put my photo inside of a shaker! I filled it with sequins and beads to create a fun interactive element!
This page was made for Challenge 658 at Color Dare and I hope you will join us to share your own creation! This week’s color dare is to use gray plus 2 other colors. I used red and green along with some tan and off-white neutral tones.
This page was also made for the June throwback challenge at Sketch N Scrap. I used the upper left sketch to make this page!
That’s all for this week. Come join me and play along with a Taylor Swift themed challenge I host every month. June’s can be found here and I’d love for you to play along!
