Scrapbook Challenge

Beach, Sun & Surf

Summer Pastels

Hi scrappers! I took a little time off but I am back with a summer-themed layout. I used a photo my husband took on one of his many dive trips, but I can’t remember what country he was in! I could sure go for a beach like that and a drink with a paper umbrella in it right about now.

I found the perfect paper for my background from the Heidi Swapp Set Sail collection. I cut it in half so I could display both the shell print side and the pink and blue ombre side. I used some pink and blue paper scraps to make an asymmetrical photo mat and had a scrap from a previous project that had Beach, Surf & Sun on it. It ended up being the perfect title for this page! I layered in some geometric washi tape and some striped patterned paper as well as peachy ephemera by Minty Papers and Simple Stories. I finished with some small circular stickers and some enamel dots by Altenew.

This page was made for the July Cherry Lift challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I lifted this layout by blbabe1234. I liked her use of washi tape and a patterned print on the top half of the page so I used those same elements in my lift.

This page was also made for the Give a Crafter a Cookie July challenge. The theme was “Seashells at the Beach” so I used a photo taken on a beach along with plenty of seashell ephemera.

Lastly, this page was made for this month’s 3 in a Row challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I used the top row:

P: Pink/Peach colored ephemera
Blue: (Embellishments, striped paper and enamel dots)
A: American Crafts background paper
