Navy And Brown Autumn
Hi scrappers! This week I combine blue, brown and gray with autumnal vibes to make a page featuring a photo of my husband and I in the woods!
I used some very old blue paper by The Paper Studio (The copyright on the back said 2012!) and cut it down a little and pasted it on top of some plain gray cardstock. I used some photo realistic tree bark paper from the Dendrology stack also by The Paper Studio and then layered a film strip by 49 and Market below it. I also used laser cut elements from 49 and Market’s Moonlit Garden and Nature Study collections because the blue, gray and brown botanical pieces matched the vibe so well. I also used a large piece of ephemera from the Plum Grove ephemera bits pack as a second photo mat for my photo. Stickers from the Hike More washi tape sheet make up the title as well as the arrows and compass. I used a few PET stickers by Moking by laying them down on white cardstock and then cutting them out. This way the colors really popped because I knew they wouldn’t be as vibrant against a dark blue background.
This page was created for the September Mood Board challenge at A Cherry on Top crafts. This mood board is so beautiful and I knew I wanted to attempt recreating this dusky, tranquil vibe. I was inspired to use woodgrain, autumn leaves and birds on my layout because of elements in the mood board..
This page was also made for the September 3 in a Row challenge, also at A Cherry on Top. I used the middle column, using fall leaves, arrows and double mats for my photo.
Lastly, this page was made for the September sketch challenge at Soul Scrappers. I’ve only just discovered this group and they have so many fun challenges to try! I thought this sketch was really cute and ended up working well for the one photo I had.
That’s all for now. Join me on Instagram and YouTube if you are looking for more paper crafting content!
