Blues Like A Mood Ring Changing Colors

Mixing Blue Patterns

Hi scrappers! I’m back again with a very blue page featuring a photo that was taken when snorkeling in the Bahamas. It worked perfectly with my all-blue color palette.

I started with some white cardstock by American Crafts and cut it down just a little so I could put a 12 X 12 piece of blue cardstock behind it as a frame. I doodled around the edges with a fine point pen and then pulled lots of blue paper scraps and layered them to make a triangle on the right side of the page. The only piece of paper that wasn’t a preexisting scrap in my stash was the chevron-pattern paper that came from the For the Record 2 6 X 6 stack. I layered additional scraps behind my photo and created a tag using a die cut by Momenta. I added a bow made from baker’s twine and held it in place with a fuzzy brad.

I tore some pieces of cloud printed washi and added some cloud print stickers, Lastly, I made the title with two die cut sets, one by Echo Park and one by Sizzix. I am glad I have this smaller alpha die set because it has really come in handy for creating longer titles that don’t take up the entire page. Taylor Swift fans may recognize this title as a line from her newest song I Knew It, I Knew You.

I found this lovely layout online at some point and saved it to my computer. I don’t have the name of the original creator so if you know them, please tell me! I especially loved the layered paper accent on the right and the doodles around the edges. I lifted this layout but used fewer embellishments since my long title took up so much space.

This page was also made for the White…with 1 June challenge that was inspired by the game Monopoly. I chose the color blue to go with a white background and also thought the layered paper on the right resembled the corner of playing board. One of the patterned papered I used also had a grid pattern that reminded me of all the squares on the board.

That’s all for now. Thank you for visiting this paper crafting corner of the internet. I post on Instagram and YouTube with additional scrapbooking content!
