Guest Designer with Lasting Memories August Week 1

August 01, 2026 by Stan Moniz Photography

Hi scrappers! Welcome to August! I have been graciously invited to guest design for Lasting Memories so each week, I’ll be bringing you a page to coincide with one of their challenges!

To kick off this month, I scrapped some photos of my cat Jupiter back when she was just a tiny kitten. They don’t stay that small for very long!

I used some basic white cardstock from American Crafts as my background and then raided my stash of scraps for anything orange! I cut 2 1/2 inch squares of various papers and used a bigger scrap to mat my photos. I apparently don’t own any orange washi tape, so I cut a small strip of fur print paper to use as a divider.

My title was created using an alpha die by Echo Park Paper, and I found some tiger stickers in an Amy Tangerine sticker book that matched the page perfectly! I added some mini image cards meant for bullet journaling, and finished with a few enamel dots by Altenew.

Join us in August at Lasting Memories for challenges all about creator favorites! This week is to showcase your favorite tool. Besides my guillotine cutter, my favorite tool is my Sizzix Big Shot that I can pair with a variety of die cuts. I especially like using it to make titles because it eliminates the problem of running out of commonly used alphas on a sticker sheet. I have been slowly building my alpha die collection, but this one was one of the first I acquired.

This page was also made for the Mood Board challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I loved the orange and immediately came up with a title for my photos that was inspired by the board. Inspirations used were:

  • Tigers

  • Stars

  • Square Grid

  • Lollypops (I think the image from my tear pad is the exact same one!)

This page was also made for the August Cherry Lift Challenge and I chose this layout by love2stamp. I liked the title placement and all of the squares that reminded me on the grid on the mood board.

That’s all for this week! Continue to join me all throughout August for new guest designer pages.
